Groovy Girl/LOTV DT Card

Firstly I would like to apologise for the lateness of posting this card but I have had a few busy days and completely forgot all about it.

Anyway, this week's challenge is a great sketch by our very own Dawny and
Lili of the Valley are again offering 2 stamps of the Winner's choice as a prize this week .

For my card this week I have chosen one of my favourite stamps and combined it with one of my favourite colour combinations of purple and green. I have coloured the image with Promarkers again. The centre panel has been punched with a MS border punch. The flowers have also been punched with gems added. Hope you like it enough to leave me a couple of comments.

Thanks for looking.

Princess Daisy Duo

Challenges

Squiggles & Giggles - Birthday Best
The Creative Cottage (15) - It Takes Two (Card & Gift)

Yes!!! I know it's a bit late for making a calendar, BUT, it is not permanently fixed on and I will change it later in the year when I give it to someone. However, this is what I fancied making the other day. The calendar is made with an empty CD case. This gorgeous image has been coloured with Promarkers and a touch of Sakura Stardust. The little buckle has been punched out of pearl card and the flowers punched out of pearl paper with inked edges. The butterfly on the matching card is also punched from pearl paper. I have not put a sentiment on the card yet as I don't know who will be getting it, I will add it later. When I am ready to give this away all I have to do is put the card inside the calendar.

Summer Days

Challenges

Mami Doodles - Summer (Boy or Girl)
Cupcake Craft (95) - One For The boys
Sketch Saturday (107) - Sketch
A Spoonful Of Sugar (107) - Summer

Here's a little beach scene that I've done using a fantastic digi stamp from Mami Doodles that I recently won, thanks Elisa.
Elisa does some really gorgeous digi stamps so why don't you pop over to her blog and have a look, you won't be dissapointed.

I have followed the great sketch, but instead I have replaced the mats behind the image with a HUGE sandcastle (I think I went a bit mad there!) and cut the boy out so that he could stand in front. The boy has been coloured with Promarkers and attached with foam pads. The seashells and starfish are buttons. When I finished the two top corners looked a bit bare but I managed to find a couple of peel-offs that were suitable.

Well, I only hope that sandcastle doesn't topple over and bury the poor little lad...

The Rainbow Lady (107) - Fantasyland With Tag
Digi Doodle (11) - Tie It Up
Creative Inspirations (36) - Monochrome

I have coloured my gorgeous little elf fairy with chalks and a touch of Sakura Stardust pen. I have also done her wings with Glamour Dust. Having inked the edges I have layered her onto sparkle card. I have used two pieces of organza ribbon down the side and tied them together with a bow (a bit hard to see the ribbon as it is so sheer). I have attached a little tag to the bow with another piece of ribbon so that it dangles. The Prima flowers have been sparkled by adding more Glamour Dust. A few pearls and the card was finished.

Papertake - Sketch (Lilac/Lemon)

Well, here is something a bit different that I haven't tried before. When I looked at the great sketch I immediately thought it would look good on a notebook, nice and easy. I coloured the image with Promarkers, cut it out and attached it with foam pads. The little tag has been stamped and cut using Nesties. The pen loop is just a strip of card attached to the back of the mats. I also added three flower brads to the ribbon.

Stamp Something - Happy Somethings
Allsorts (56) - Lace/ and/or Buttons
Our Creative Corner - Gotcha Cornered
Secret Crafter (87) - Include A Quote
Stamptacular (63) - A Tribute To All Fathers

This is a Father's Day card my son asked me to make for his dad, I hope he likes it. I was following the great sketch but when it came to putting the sentiment on, it didn't look right so I have moved it across, hope that's ok. I didn't think it appropriate to put lace on it, but there is a piece of ribbon. I punched the corners of the backing papers to add a bit of interest. I finished it with one of my favourite quotes. Nearly forgot, the image is one of the new stamps from LOTV which I have coloured with Promarkers. Isn't he lovely, he looks so thoughtful and I just love these papers and think they go so well with the stamped image. Hope you like this one, sorry about the dark photo.

Boating Fun

Challenges

Cute Card Thursday (115) - Black/Blue/Orange (Oops! Missed The Deadline Again!)
Friday Sketchers (105) - Sketch
ABC - W is for Weather
Crafty Creations (71) - Child's Play

Here's a little fun card which fits the above challenges. I followed the lovely sketch and layered up all my mats of design papers. This fab little boy is one of the new LOTV stamps that were released recently. He is so sweet struggling to carry his boat that is almost as big as him. I have coloured him with Promarkers and chalk. When I was layering him up I thought I would have a go with the technique of having the image coming off the mats. I think I need a bit of practice with it though. The sentiment and anchor are peel-offs that I found lying around.

Birdie House

Challenges

Dutch Dare (79) - Birdhouse Card

This was a fun challenge I must say. On the challenge blog they are giving you a freebie template so you can make your card and really all you have to do is decorate it, simples. I have done mine quite traditionally using a 'wood' paper. The birdies are stamped and coloured with MLP pens. The flowers and leaves are punched and coloured with Promarkers. For the little sign I just wrote the words, distressed the card and added a bit of twine and a brad.

I made this card for a friends birthday (caught you looking Jean) and loved doing it. I coloured Elf Tilda with my pencils and a Sakura Stardust pen. I did her wings with Glamour Dust. I then layered her using my Nesties and edged the whole thing with lace. I added Glamour Dust to the design paper for added sparkle. The flowers have been punched from design and glitter paper with pearl centres. The butterfly has also been punched from the same glitter paper and a pearl added for it's body. I finished it off with a sparkly ribbon and bow. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Kick Up Your Heels!

Challenges

Crafty Creations (70) - Black/White/Splash Of Red
Fab 'N' Funky (26) - Piece That Paper

For this card I have 'paper pieced' the shoe and added Diamond Glaze to the heel and a pearl on the strap fastener. There are more pearls on the sentiment. I have stamped swirls in the corners and added gems for the 'splash of red'. I also inked around the edges of the white card with red ink. I then added another small swirl to finish it off.

A Gatefold Card

Challenges

Stamptacular (61) - Life's A Beach
Cupcake Craft (93) - Summer Delights
Papertake - Fun, Fun, Fun (Summer)
Simon Says - Father's Day/Male
Totally Papercrafts (19) - More Than One Fold

This is a card I was commissioned to do with the brief of 'horse riding and sky blue'. I decided to make a gatefold card and use lots of hearts. I found the picture on the internet and layered it using my heart Nesties. The sentiment has been stamped and embossed and also layered in the same way. The panels are simply punched with a MS border punch. When I attached the image and sentiment I did it so that the image is attached to the left side and the sentiment to the right side. This way they interlock to make it a bit more interesting. I finished off by adding some little horseshoes and gems. Hope you like it.
