Basket Of Happiness

Another quick card from me today as I wanted to use up the last bit of magazine freebie paper from the other cards I made a few days ago.

This one features another Elisabeth Bell image and is coloured with pencils.  I used a border punch and ribbon on the borders and made a small bow with the rest of the ribbon.

Eat More Cake...

Well, here we are, another week, another card.  I have started to enjoy doing this again after so long.  I think Mr Mojo is definitely back in the building.  Long may he stick around.

Anyway, today's card features a Bugaboo digi stamp (I do love the humour of these stamps) which I have coloured with promarkers according to the 'colour palette'.  The sentiment is also Bugaboo and comes with the digi.  I made a punched border across the card and used washi tape to decorate it which is a first for me.  The balloons are die cut from recycled card and the strings are twisted florist's wire.  The background papers used are magazine freebies.  I thought the colours matched in quite nicely.

Clementine

Today's card features a little cutie from Elisabeth Bell which was a magazine freebie.  I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her using Tonic dies.  The stamped sentiment was also a magazine freebie and has been coloured with promarkers too.  This has been layered using Spellbinders dies.  Along with those, both backing papers were magazine freebies.  The leaves have been punched with a Woodware punch.  The flowers and ribbon are both from my stash.

Wee Flower Fairy (2)

Here is another Flower Fairy from Wee Stamps, again coloured with promarkers.  The papers are from a magazine freebie (I'm hoping to get another two cards from what's left).  The sentiment stamp is also a magazine freebie.  The bit of ribbon has been recycled from clothing and the flowers, brads, eyelet and gem are from my stash.  This is a fold-back card.

Please note: The flowers are yellow and the gem is pink.  I don't know why the scanner has changed the colours, too much light getting in maybe.

Baby's 1st Christmas

Here is another card I made a while back and haven't shown before.  I made this for Billy's first Christmas.

The LOTV stamped image has been coloured with promarkers and simply layered using nesting dies.  The strip has been punched and ribbon added along with a little charm.  I can't remember where the backing paper came from but I added a few card candi to it.  A few flowers from Wild Orchid finishes the card off.

This is a card I made a while back but never got to show.  The palace, paper and sentiment are from a 'Complete Cardmaking' download.  The digi princess is from Squiggles and has been coloured with promarkers.  I personalized it by writing the name on the flag and adding the number 4 to the sentiment.  The flowers and gems are from my stash.

Wee Flower Fairy

Today I felt like going all feminine and floral and this is what I came up with.

The stamped image is from Wee Stamps and is coloured with promarkers and then layered using a lace doily at the back.  The strip has been punched and glittery ribbon added.  The beautiful background paper is another magazine freebie, isn't it gorgeous?  The assorted layered flowers with brads are all from my stash.

Jump!

Sorry about the photo, it was quite difficult to take with all that acetate and this was the best one out of a bad bunch.

Well, I have made a shaker card this time and filled it with multicoloured sequins.  I started by covering the front of my card with gingham paper (magazine freebie) and adding card candi to the corners and finishing with a little bow.  The stamped Magnolia image has been coloured with promarkers and chalk.  The sentiment stamp is also a magazine freebie.

Birthday Wishes

Today's card has the main focus on the sentiment which is an old Stampendous stamp that I have had for many years but still love.  This has had little gem stars added.  (Finally found a use for those teeny weeny ones).  The background has been heat embossed with holographic powder so that it sparkles, love that technique.  The butterfly has been punched out of sparkly card and gems added.

Birthday Boy

Another nice little simple card today.

The background paper is an old scrap found in the bottom of the box.  The beach huts are from Nitwits.  The boy is a topper from Mo's Digital Pencil (fussy cut and attached with foam pads) and the stamped sentiment is from Pink Gem. The hardest part of this card was sizing and printing the beach huts which were very easy to do.  So all in all a nice quick card...

Upcycled Wreath

A couple of years ago I bought this lovely plain heart shaped wreath without knowing what to do with it.  Well, I have finally done something and it is now hanging in my lounge.

The first thing I did was to wrap some gingham ribbon around.  Next I added some recycled leaves that came from a fake potted plant.  I also added some flowers from my stash and some punched butterflies.  Lastly, a recycled bow from a Christmas decoration and some string to hang it with.

Gift Set

Something a bit different from me today.  I have made a little gift set for my sister's birthday comprising of a Tea Light Candle card and a Tote of bathing goodies so that she cam pamper herself.  This is the first time I have made either of these and I'm quite pleased at how they have turned out.  I shall certainly be making a few more I think as they were so easy.

Card

I found the template/tutorial on Lena Katrine's blog.  As you can see, each of the panels have been matted & layered using the offcuts from the Tote.  I then added an embossed strip of roses to all the panels.  The folder being another magazine freebie.  To the front panel I added a magnolia image which I coloured with promarkers and fussy cut before attaching with foam pads. I finished this panel with some red roses.  A bit of ribbon to hold the tea lights in finishes off the card.

Tote

First off I printed some card with a couple of Nitwits papers (printing both sides of the base paper.  I then overprinted the templates from My Life Made Easy, which I won a couple of years ago.  Once this was done I cut all the pieces out, layered the panels with the contrast card and assembled it.  There are a couple of large eyelets at each end of the handle purely for decoration.  To the front I added a die cut tree and bench and then sat another Magnolia image (coloured with promarkers) onto the bench.  A few red roses and a charm attached with a brad completes the front panel.  Last but not least, a lovely ribbon tied around the handle finishes the Tote.

I fancied doing some stamping so came up with this.  The background has been stamped randomly with Hero Arts stamps which I have not used before.  The stamped heart image & sentiment are magazine freebies from years ago.  I have added Card Candi to these.  Simple matting & layering for this one

Cherished Friends

Today I have made another Christmas card using one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps which I coloured lightly with promarkers.  I also distressed and glittered the edge of the main image before die cutting it.  The sentiment is a Crafters Companion stamp which I have also die cut and added heart gems to.  I coloured the lace doily with a Brilliance ink pad.  The backing paper was a freebie.

I have decided to make the most of all my magazine freebies by using them as much as possible instead of ignoring them.

You might notice that my picture has improved a lot.  Yay!!!  I finally got my new printer!  This means I can ditch the camera and go back to scanning my cards.
